Sunnyside
Sunnyside is attached to Brightside and has been designed with the needs of people with Dementia in mind. The staff have completed specialist dementia training and offer a tailoredpersonal service for up to 12 members each day. The unit consists of a lounge / dining room / kitchen and service users have open access to the secure specially designed sensory gardens whenever they wish.
Activities include reminiscing, singing and service users are encouraged to help set tables and wash up as far as they are able. Service users also join in the activities in the main Day Centre from time to time.
Meals are prepared in the Centre's kitchen
We can offer transport (except Sundays) in our tail-lift buses to frail people living locally.
We can also help arrange alternate transport for those living further afield.
